Fine Art Photographer Carmen Sprague, originally from Lansing, Michigan, is a transplant to Florida. She owned a photography studio in the heart of the capital city of Lansing, received degrees in photography and design as well as several art awards. After being diagnosed with cancer in 1996, Carmen felt it was time to live the American Dream, be an artist and move to Florida. Carmen is a member of the Florida Keys Art Guilt, Lower Keys Artist Network and Cape Coral Art League. She also teaches digital photography classes in the Cape. Carmen's gallery on the first floor at The Fanklin Shops presents fine art photography from journeys across the globe and work that captures the typical Floridian spirit and atmosphere. All photography is printed on canvas from original negatives, positives, and high compression digital files. "I am truly blessed to be able to indulge in my art and enjoy the state of perpetual sun," says Carmen, who regularly participates in regional art shows.
